Former Foreign Minister criticized Elmar Mamedyarov
Baku / 20.11.17 / Turan: Former Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Tofig Zulfugarov on his Facebook page criticized the current Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov for his toothless position against the backdrop of statements by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. "If one of the participants in the press conference represented the position of Azerbaijan, he probably had to say that it is unacceptable for us to settle the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict without respecting the principle of the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
It's strange why Mammadyarov did not voice the position that President announced again after Geneva," Zulfugarov wrote, expressing dissatisfaction with the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister's silence on Lavrov's statements.
"By the way, what useful could the future Azerbaijani diplomats hear from S.Lavrov, who openly declared that Azerbaijan lost sovereignty over Nagorno-Karabakh? Who prepared the program of the visit from the Azerbaijani side and for what purpose this lecture was needed? " continued the ex-minister, commenting on the anti-Western speech of Lavrov at the University of ADA. -02D-
