France recalls victims of terrorist attacks
Baku / 11.03.20 / Turan: Terrorist acts are aimed at forcibly imposing their worldview on others, sometimes the political or criminal interests of some forces stand behind it. This was announced at the event dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Terror by the Ambassador of France to Azerbaijan, Zakaria Gross.
By the decision of the President of France, Emanuel Macron, March 11 was declared the day of mourning for the victims of terror and is celebrated in all embassies of France.
The ambassador recalled that on this day, France recalls the victims of the ultra-right terrorist attacks during the war with Algeria; the attacks of separatists from the People’s Liberation Movement of Algeria; the attacks of the left forces in the 1970s; the attacks of supporters of the independence of Corsica; the attacks of the Iranians in the 1980-90s; anti-Semitic attacks by supporters of Palestine; the Islamic Salvation Front of Algeria in 2012; the attacks of the radicals in Toulouse, ISIS attacks in 2015-2016 in Paris and Toulon, as well as victims of other terrorist attacks.
“The attacks were committed against the republican principles of France, against democracy, the rule of law, dialogue and justice. We must value our freedoms, the will to tolerance and tolerance,” the ambassador said.
Siyavush Heydarov, deputy chair of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, who spoke at the event, emphasized that Azerbaijan also suffered from terror and repeatedly fell victim to terrorist attacks organized by Armenian organizations.
