French Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group in Yerevan
Baku/11.04.22/Turan: On Sunday, the co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group from France, Brice Roquefot, arrived in Yerevan. He met with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
Prior to that, Russian co-chairman Igor Khovaev visited Armenia. The topic of these meetings was Yerevan's calls for the participation of the OSCE Minsk Group in the negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan on the conclusion of a peace treaty. The same topic was repeatedly raised by the leaders of Armenia at the meetings with US Ambassador to Yerevan Lynn Tracy.
There was no official response to these calls. At the same time, on April 8, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow at a joint press conference with Ararat Mirzoyan said that the US and France do not want to work with Russia in the OSCE Minsk Group.
Thus, Yerevan's efforts aimed at restoring the active role of the OSCE Minsk Group failed. -02D-
