French Foreign Ministry on Ilham Aliyevs Call to Return to Yerevan
Baku / 21.02.18 / Turan: During a traditional briefing at the French Foreign Ministry on February 20, a question was asked about the attitude of Paris to the statement of the Azerbaijani leader on February 8 that Yerevan and Zangezur are historical lands of Azerbaijan and the strategic goal is to return to these lands.
The response, published on the Foreign Ministry website says: "France remains fully committed to the search for a negotiated solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
It calls on the parties to the conflict to work in good faith toward that end, notably by refraining from any statement or action likely to exacerbate tensions." -16D-
