Ganja city's Kyapaz and Nizami districts abolished
Baku/04.03.22/Turan: Milli Majlis today passed a law on abolition of Nizami and Kyapazi districts of the city of Ganja.
These administrative-territorial units set up in 1980 are now directly subordinated to the executive authority of the city.
Note that Ganja is second biggest city of Azerbaijan located 364 km west from Baku.
Founded in 660, Ganja is one of the oldest historical and cultural centres of Azerbaijan. According to official data as of January 1, 2021, there are 335,000 people residing in Ganja. -03В06-

Today, the trial of paralyzed activist Famil Khalilov continued at the Baku Serious Crimes Court. During the session, he stated that he is a first-group disabled person but still has not been assigned a social worker for assistance. The judge noted that while the law does not require a social worker to be assigned to an inmate, he would appeal to the leadership of the pretrial detention facility "on humanitarian grounds."
