German Abassador meets Tofig Yagublu's daughter
Baku/12.01.01.24/Turan: Nigar Hazi, daughter of arrested member of Musavat Party and National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) Tofig Yagublu, was received by German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ralph Horlemann on 11 January.
"During the meeting, which lasted an hour and a half, we talked about the cases of Tofig Yagublu and other political prisoners.
I demand freedom for all political prisoners," Hazi wrote on facebook.
Earlier, the daughter of the opposition politician was received by the US Charge d'Affaires in Azerbaijan, the French Ambassador and the head of the EU Delegation.
* Yagublu was arrested on 14 December on charges of fraud and illegal production of documents. He denied the charges and called them falsified.
Note that the politician had previously been repeatedly subjected to criminal and administrative prosecutions. International organisations recognise him as a prisoner of conscience. -03/06B-
