The British Embassy in Azerbaijan informs that the Baroness will take part in the sixth ministerial meeting within the framework of the Consultative Council on the Southern Gas Corridor.
“This indicates a high level of cooperation between the UK and Azerbaijan in the energy sector. Baroness Nicholson also said that the UK is ready to invest in the renewable energy sector of Azerbaijan.
Great Britain is ready to share experience and invest in expanding Azerbaijan’s huge solar, wind and hydropower potential,” it was informed.
Nicholson will meet with senior officials of Azerbaijan, representatives of British business circles, and will visit the Center for Joint and Healthy Autism.
Before the visit, Baroness Nicholson said that between the two countries there is a close bilateral partnership in all areas, including energy, economy and culture. In November, the UK will host the Glasgow Climate Conference.

The United States and the European Union, which tried to position themselves as mediators in the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, have come up with nothing and merely copied Russia's ideas, distorting their essence in order to "hijack" the peace process for themselves. However, their true goal was to take control of the region, to insert themselves into it, and to push out Russia, as well as Iran and Türkiye, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated at a briefing on November 13.
