Gubad Ibadoglu's health is getting worse
Baku/01.12.23/Turan: The health of Gubad Ibadoglu, an opposition politician and academic economist who is under arrest, is getting worse, Turan was told by his brother Ghalib Bayramov after lawyers visited the politician in the pre-trial detention center on November 30. "His blood sugar levels are not normalizing, despite taking a very high dose of insulin. At the same time, doctors in London refrained from prescribing him a high dose of insulin, as this can cause arrhythmia. Now it has happened and his pulse does not decrease less than 100 beats per minute," Bayramov said. Despite his serious health, Ibadoglu is not transferred to a medical institution. He is also not given the results of the examination and tests conducted back in mid-October.
"The back pain has also worsened. He was promised that physiotherapy procedures would begin at the beginning of this week. But they are limited only by electropharesis, which also does not help," Bayramov continued. It was not possible to get comments from the Prison Service on the condition of Gubad Ibadoglu.
*On July 24, the Narimanov District Court of Baku arrested Gubad Ibadoglu for 3 months and 26 days on charges of making counterfeit money. The Azerbaijani Interior Ministry said that Ibadoglu is associated with supporters of Fethullah Gulen, accused of an attempted coup in 2016 in Turkey.
On August 25, he was charged with another charge of "making, storing or distributing religious extremist materials."
On November 16, the court extended Gubad Ibadoglu's arrest for another three months.
Gubad Ibadoglu denies the accusations, considering them absurd. Many international organizations and officials have called on official Baku to immediately release the politician. The European Parliament called for sanctions against Azerbaijani officials because of the persecution of Ibadoglu.—16B-

Задача власть предержащих, довести профессора до предсмертного состояния, затем проявить великую гуманность и отпустить уважаемого селовека умирать на воле.
