Gular Ahmedova is expelled from the ruling party
The ruling party "Yeni Azerbaijan" expelled MP Gular Ahmedov from the party. Deputy Head of the party Ali Ahmedov said "the party is experiencing a deep sense of regret for her actions." Gular Ahmedova’s behavior is not compatible with the principles and values of the party." By her fraud Ahmedova damaged the reputation of the ruling party in the country. There is no doubt that with her fraud Ahmedova has lost the moral right to represent the party "Yeni Azerbaijan" in the Parliament. This is the opinion of every member of the party," quoted Ali Ahmedov the website of the ruling party.
He also said that "the illegal actions of individuals can not cast a shadow on the current policy of the country." "Rule of law, transparency, uncompromising fight against corruption and other moral values and principles, form the basis of the authorities. Fraudsters always expose, unmask and will be exposed," said Ahmedov.
A lawsuit has been filed. Law enforcement agencies conduct the necessary investigations, and the deeds of each will be given a fair assessment, concluded Ahmedov.
Judging by Ahmedov’s statement, the next step could be a deprivation of Ahmedova her parliamentary mandate and bringing her to justice.—06D-
