Historical, architectural and nature reserve to be created in Tugh
Baku/16.06.23/Turan: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev today signed an order "On the Establishment of the State Historical, Architectural and Nature Reserve "Tugh".
Head of state instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to designate and approve the boundaries of the reserve and the protected zone within two months, to determine a special regime on the territory of the reserve, to take the necessary measures for logistical support of the reserve.
The management of the reserve is entrusted to the State Agency for Tourism. It has to be kept in mind that the village of Tugh is located in the Khojavend district of Azerbaijan (formerly a part of the Hadrut region).
Note that In October 1991, the Azerbaijani population of Tugh was expelled from the village and it came under the control of the separatist regime.
In November 2020, the Azerbaijani army liberated the village. -06B-
