HLWG meeting on Caspian Sea issues held in Tehran
The 8th meeting of the High Level Working Group (HLWG) on Caspian Sea issues was held in Tehran on 24-26 June.
Delegations from all five Caspian littoral states -- Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan took part in the talks.
Azerbaijan was represented at the meeting by Deputy Foreign Minister Samir Sharifov.
During the meeting, the methodology of establishing direct baselines in the Caspian Sea was discussed.
The meeting also reviewed co-operation in the Caspian Sea. The next meeting of the HLWG will be held in Kazakhstan and the dates will be agreed through diplomatic channels.

Masoud Pezeshkian, belonging to the reformist wing, is leading in Iran's 14th Presidential election with 43.5% of the votes. Saeed Jalili of the conservative wing follows with 37.7% of the votes. This was announced by Mohsen Eslami, a spokesman for the Islamic Republic's electoral headquarters, Anadolu Agency reported.

In the early Presidential elections in Iran, according to the results of counting 12 million votes, ex-MP Masoud Pezeshkian, who is a candidate from the reform wing, is in the lead, representative of the country's election headquarters Mohsen Eslami said on the IRIB TV channel.
