Baku / 30.09.20 / Turan: The Human Rights House Foundation expressed concern over reports of the resumption of hostilities along the contact line in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, as a result of which dozens of people died and many more were seriously injured.
“We urge the de-escalation of violence and rhetoric and remind all parties those efforts to resolve the conflict must include a human rights-based approach that is normatively based on international human rights standards and is operatively focused on the promotion and protection of human rights,” the appeal says.

“We welcome the efforts of the international community, including the UN Secretary General, to call on the governments of Azerbaijan and Armenia to return to negotiations and again call on the parties to resume dialogue without preconditions with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs,” the HRHF statement said.--0--
