Baku/20.07.23/Turan: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made a trip to Fuzuli region on July 20. The Head of State got acquainted with the progress of construction of the 27-km section of the Ahmadbeyli-Fuzuli-Shusha first category highway to the Fuzuli International Airport.
In contrast to the current "Victory Road" (it was laid along the route of the Azerbaijani army's advance to Shusha during the 2020 war) Ahmedbeyli-Fuzuli-Shusha with a length of 101 km, the length of the new road is 81.7 km.,the head of the State Agency of Highways Saleh Mammadov informed the head of state.
Part of the 48 km long road to the circle near the village of Tug will be 6-lane, then 33.7 km 4–lane. In general, construction work on the Ahmedbeyli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway has been completed by 50 percent. The road provides for the construction of 30 underpasses, 8 bridges, 7 tunnels and 9 viaducts. The total length of the bridges will be 984 m, and the viaducts - 2090 m.
Then Aliyev visited the villages of Chanagchi and Sygnag of Khojaly region. --06B--
