Ilham Aliyev named the terms of the peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia

Baku/14.08.21/Turan: A peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia should be based on mutual recognition of territorial integrity, stated by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in an interview with CNN Turk TV channel.

“We have repeatedly expressed our position. I have openly said several times that we want to sign a peace treaty with Armenia. Armenia and Azerbaijan should recognize the territorial integrity of each other and begin the process of delimitation and establish the borders, ” Aliyev said.

However, the leadership of Azerbaijan has not yet received a positive response from Armenia, he added.

“Apparently, Armenia is not ready for this or against it. I said it would be a big mistake, and they would be sorry. Because we will not keep this proposal on the table forever. If they are against this, then let them openly say that they do not want to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan. In this case, we will conduct our policy in accordance with this. If Armenia is ready  to recognize the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, which is recognized by the whole world, then, of course, long-term peace will come to the region. We want this. At the same time, there are concrete proposals on the table to achieve this, ” Aliyev noted.-0-
