Ilham Aliyev received Philip Philip Reeker
Baku/13.09.22/Turan: On September 13, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the chief adviser of the US State Department on negotiations in the Caucasus, Philip Reeker.
According to a message published on the website of the president, during the meeting they discussed large-scale provocations committed on September 13 by the armed forces of Armenia in the Kalbajar, Lachin and Zangilan directions of the border between the two countries.
The head of state noted that Azerbaijan took measures in response to these provocations, and the entire responsibility for the provocations lies with the political and military leadership of Armenia.
During the conversation, the importance of ensuring peace and stability in the region, normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and continuing the peace agenda was emphasized.—06D-

According to the Turkish newspaper Sabah, officials from the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office's Anti-Smuggling Unit have detained an Azerbaijani citizen with a large shipment of gold. The detention took place near the Vadi İstanbul shopping center in the Sarıyer district, where a taxi was stopped. During the search, 70 kg of gold was found. The Azerbaijani citizen in the vehicle claimed ownership of the cargo and also stated that he was a diplomat. The investigation by the prosecutor's office is ongoing, reports Sabah newspaper. The media outlet does not disclose the name of the "diplomat," only his initials – M.G.Ş. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declined to comment on the situation.
