Baku / 15.11.19 / Turan: On Friday, President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation of Muslim religious leaders from the North Caucasian republics of Russia.
On the same day, he received the Secretary General of the International Center for Interfaith and Intercultural Dialogue KAICIID Faisal bin Muammar, as well as the chief Sephardic rabbi of Jerusalem, Shlomo Amar.
All these persons are participants in the Second Inter-Religious Dialogue - the forum held in Baku on November 14-15.
During the meetings, issues related to strengthening inter-religious dialogue, solving problems in the religious sphere, ensuring freedom of religion and the fight against religious radicalism were discussed. -02D-

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times. According to relatives, the police conducted a search of her apartment.
