Azerbaijan increases number of patients with diabetes
Baku/15.11.19 / Turan: At present, 265,000 patients with diabetes are registered in Azerbaijan. Compared to last year, the number increased by 10 thousand people. This was stated today by the deputy director of the Republican Endocrinology Center Babek Salek.
However, statistics do not reflect the actual number of patients. For the second type of diabetes occurs suddenly and patients for a long time do not know about the disease and are not registered.
Doctors are taking measures for the early diagnosis of diabetes, and in particular among children. At the same time, some parents prefer to hide the illness of children, fearing that in the future it will be difficult for them to start a family.
To date, the number of registered children with diabetes is 1800 people. The state provides them with insulin and other drugs. — 06D-
