Ilham Aliyev received the Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces
Baku / 16.01.19 / Turan: On Wednesday, the head of state received the Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Mohammed Bagheri, who arrived in Azerbaijan on an official visit.
According to the official report, during the meeting Aliyev noted the high level of bilateral relations in all areas including the military sphere.
In response, Bagheri confirmed the existence of good relations between two peoples having a common history and culture and expressed confidence in their further strengthening.
He further noted that Iran considers Karabakh to be Azerbaijani land, supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and opposes forced change of borders.
Ilham Aliyev thanked Bagheri for this fair position of Iran on this issue. -02D-
