Ilham Aliyev Receives US Religious Figures
Baku / 26.11.18 / Turan: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received US religious leaders on Monday - Jewish Rabbi Abraham Cooper and representative of the Evangelical community Johnny Moore, the website of the head of state said.
Cooper expressed satisfaction with the creation of conditions for the free activities of all communities, including Judaism, in Azerbaijan.
Aliyev, for his part, noted that in Azerbaijan, representatives of all peoples and religious communities have always lived in an atmosphere of peaceful coexistence and these traditions have a centuries-old history.
He expressed the hope that the visit of representatives of the Jewish and Evangelical communities of the United States will contribute to the further development of religious ties between the two countries. -06D--
