Ilham Aliyev to pay a state visit to Uzbekistan
Baku/20.06.22/Turan: On June 21-22, the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will pay a state visit to Tashkent atthe invitation of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the press service of the head of Uzbekistan “The agenda of the meeting is to further strengthen the Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations of strategic partnership and expand multifaceted cooperation.
The leaders of the two states will pay special attention to increasing the volume of mutual trade, strengthening cooperative ties at the business and regional level, promoting joint investment projects in various sectors of the economy, effectively using opportunities in the transport and transit sector, and continuing active cultural and humanitarian exchange,” the statement said.
As a result of the talks, it is planned to sign a package of bilateral documents on cooperation in the field of industry, transport, agriculture, energy, science and innovation, tourism, etc.
In 2021, the volume of trade between the countries increased by 42%, and in January-May of this year - by 49%, the report says. --02D--

The protest featured placards with slogans such as: "From fossil fuels to peace!", "End war crimes!", "Punish the aggressor!", and "Phase out fossil fuel use to achieve peace!" among others.
