Ilham Aliyev who is on a state visit to Greece met with Prime Minister Antonis Samaras. The sides discussed energy cooperation, in particular, the issues of building the gas pipeline TAP, which will provide gas not only to Greece, but also to countries in the region.
At the meeting with a group of Greek businessmen the sides discussed Azerbaijani investments in Greece and Greek businesses involved with various sectors of Azerbaijan.
At the meeting with Greek Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos issues of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields were raised, as well as cooperation within the European Union.

President Ilham Aliyev has approved by decree the Azerbaijan-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in military intelligence defense sector. The document was signed in Baku on 7 June 2024.
