In 2014, the state budget on the military sphere will be allocated 1,637,362,284 manats. Of this amount 1,525,351,557 manats will be allocated to defense and 106,318,488 manats to national security;
2,758,805 manats will be allocated to research in the field of defense and security;
2,933,434 manats will be allocated to other categories of the defense sector.
Recall that in 2013 the scope of the military budget was allocated 1,528 582 583 manats. Thus, the growth of defense spending will amount to about 109 million manats. -03B04-

From 19 to 26 July, 24 automatic rifles, 1 machine gun, 9 rifles, 28 grenades, 441 shells, 3118 cartridges of different calibre and other ammunition were found in Khankendi, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported. During the mentioned period, the police found 1 machine gun, 50 grenades, 7 fuses, 3 shells and 320 cartridges of different calibre in Shusha.

President Ilham Aliyev has approved by decree the Azerbaijan-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in military intelligence defense sector. The document was signed in Baku on 7 June 2024.
