Iran presented its own analogue of the S-300 missile system
Tehran/22.08.19/Turan: On August 22, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani introduced a long-range Bavar-373 anti-aircraft missile system (SAM). The action is timed to the Iranian Defense Industry Day, IRNA agency reported.
The complex has already been tested in 2017 and is an Iranian development. After the West imposed sanctions, Moscow refused to sell the S-300 air defense system to Tehran. Therefore, Iranian experts began working on the Bavar-373 air defense system.
The Bavar-373 air defense system is equipped with Sayad-4 missiles and is capable of hitting fighters and stealth aircraft, drones, cruise and ballistic missiles at an altitude of 27 kilometers and a distance of 200 kilometers. The complex is capable of detecting targets at a distance of more than 300 kilometers. -02D-
