Iranian Ambassador summoned to Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry
Baku/11.11.22/Turan: Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Seyyed Abbas Mousavi was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan today, the message of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan. He was dissatisfied with the anti-Azerbaijani campaign launched in the Iranian media. It was noted that the campaign to slander Azerbaijan, the threatening rhetoric of high-ranking Iranian military and political officials does not correspond to the spirit of bilateral relations.
Once again, the unacceptability of creating conditions for living in Iran for citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who committed crimes against the foundations of the constitutional order, in respect of which, by a court decision, a measure of restraint in the form of arrest was chosen, was noted. The need for the extradition of these persons put on the international wanted list to Baku was emphasized.
It was also pointed out that the reception at the Iranian embassies of persons inciting separatism in the Republic of Azerbaijan and hiding in other countries, evading criminal prosecution, is an unfriendly step.
The inadmissibility of disseminating information and conducting activities against Azerbaijan in Iran was emphasized, and the expectation of their soonest termination was expressed.
A day earlier, the Azerbaijani ambassador was summoned to the Iranian Foreign Ministry in Tehran, who was complained about publications in the Azerbaijani media.
