Iranian Foreign Minister to visit Azerbaijan

Baku/03.07.23/Turan: Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian will pay a visit to Azerbaijan and take part in the ministerial meeting of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement in Baku on July 5-6.

This was stated today by Naser Kanani, official representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

Note that the ministerial meeting will be preceded by a meeting of the coordination bureau working group on July 3-4, at which Iran will be represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Reza Najafi.

Abdollahian's visit will be the first trip of a high-ranking representative of the Iranian government to Azerbaijan after the sharp deterioration of bilateral relations due to the armed attack on the Azerbaijani Embassy in Tehran. -16B-
