Israel ready to share experience in agrarian sector with Azerbaijan
Baku/17.05.22/Turan: Economic relations between Azerbaijan and Israel and prospects of bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector were discussed in Baku today at a meeting of President Ilham Aliyev with Israeli Minister of Agriculture Oded Foreri.
The sides discussed the use of modern Israeli technologies in the agriculture of Azerbaijan, the official report said.
Aliyev spoke of a significant increase in local agricultural production and exports as saying that the work is underway to minimize dependence on imports.
He informed about the implementation of agricultural projects in the territories liberated from the Armenian occupation where an environmental genocide was committed, depriving these territories of water sources. In this connection, extensive work is planned to restore water sources and irrigation systems.
Foreri noted the "good cooperation" in agriculture, and stressed the importance of holding the international agricultural exhibition Caspian Agro 2022 in Baku.
The Minister expressed Israel's readiness to share best practices in agriculture, pointing to the good potential of cooperation in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.-06B-
