Issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan discussed
Baku/15.08.22/Turan: President Ilham Aliyev and Deputy Prime Minister opf Kirgizstan Bakyt Torobayev discussed issues of developing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan. Aliyev noted that the extensive transport infrastructure and potential of Azerbaijan are of increasing interest to other countries, including the countries of Central Asia. Work is underway to create new railway networks in the Central Asian region, leading to the Caspian basin.
Bakyt Torobaev, in turn, noted the interest in cooperation in the field of energy, agriculture, investment, and education. These issues are to be discussed at the upcoming meeting in Baku of the joint intergovernmental commission on economic and humanitarian cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan. Torobayev also invited Aliyev to pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan. -02D-
