Issues of delimitation of the bottom of the Caspian Sea between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan discussed
Baku/25.01.23/ Turan: The next meeting of the Joint Working Group (JWG) on the delimitation of the bottom of the Caspian Sea between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan was held on January 24-25 in Ashgabat, the message of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijani delegation at the talks was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Borders and the Caspian Sea Khalaf Khalafov, the Turkmen delegation was headed by the Director of the Institute of the Caspian Sea, Special Representative of Turkmenistan for the Caspian Sea Murad Atajanov.
The meeting was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and specialized institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
During the meeting of the JWG, the discussion of the provisions of the draft Agreement on the division of the bottom of the Caspian Sea between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan continued. ---06B---

Activist Nijat Ibrahim, who was detained in Baku pre-trial detention center-1, inflicted numerous wounds on himself on November 20 in protest against unjustified criminal prosecution, his wife Parvin Ibrahim told Turan. According to her, on November 21, her husband called her and informed her that the day before he had inflicted incised wounds on himself with a piece of mirror. In particular, he cut his throat and ears.
