Baku/15.10.13/Turan : The presidential candidate of the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) Jamil Gasanli is visiting Europe and holding meetings with officials from the EU and the Council of Europe , as well as a number of international organizations.
Upon completion of the meeting on October 18 Gasanli plans to return to Azerbaijan .
Gasanli called slanderous statements made by functionaries of the ruling party New Azerbaijan that he would not return to Azerbaijan, the press service of NCDF .
"Such statements are lies and slander. In the elections I represented the interests of my people and I am proud of it. The election campaign has shown disrepair of New Azerbaijan as a party and its lack of support for the candidate of the people.
The statements of the functionaries of the party New Azerbaijan that I will not be back are complete nonsense . Now or in the future, I have no plans to leave Azerbaijan for somewhere. I am now on a visit to Europe and on its completion on October 18 I will return to Baku. We can not leave the country to the arbitrariness of such random people as Siyavush Novruzov (deputy executive secretary of the party New Azerbaijan) and go somewhere. We will have success in many affairs in our country," said Gasanli. -06D--
