The political bloc Karabakh addressed to President Ilham Aliyev on the status of the arrested human rights defenders, Leyla Yunus and Intigam Aliyev.
"The Karabakh Bloc does not approve these arrests, and notes that the criminal cases against them are related to their public activities," the statement says.
The document's authors note that they appeal to the head of state in relation to the health of the prisoners and the threat to their lives.
They are asking the President to assist in changing the measure of restraint for the spouses Yunus and Aliyev, and release them from detention.
