Large-scale Azerbaijani-Turkish exercises started
Baku/23.10.23/Turan: Joint tactical exercises "Mustafa Kemal Ataturk - 2023" with the participation of Azerbaijani and Turkish Armed Forces servicemen began on Monday.
According to the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, up to 3,000 personnel of various types of troops of both countries, 130 armored vehicles, up to 100 artillery pieces, more than 20 aviation and flight and engineering equipment are involved in the exercises held in Baku, Nakhchivan and the liberated territories.
During the exercises, using the methods of modern combat operations, the tasks of using artillery, aviation and other types of troops, the construction of pontoon bridges across rivers and landing troops into the depths of a conditional enemy are carried out.
Note that the "Mustafa Kemal Ataturk - 2023" exercises lay emphasis on ensuring combat coherence in the interaction of troops, improving management, exchanging experience and improving the professionalism of personnel, the Azerbaijani military department said in a statement.
