Large-Scale Exercise of Armed Forces of Azerbaijan to Be Held
Baku / 28.06.18 / Turan: Large-scale exercises of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan with the participation of 20 thousand military personnel and more than 350 units of equipment will be held on July 2-6.
According to the Defense Ministry, units of various types, special force, associations and formations will be involved in the exercises.
The exercises will involve 120 tanks and other armored vehicles, more than 200 rocket-artillery units of different caliber, multiple rocket launchers and mortars, and up to 30 units of army and front-line aviation for various purposes.
During the exercises, tasks will be performed to conduct various types of military operations, including the imposition of high-precision systems, aircraft and UAVs on missile, artillery, bombardment strikes against a conventional enemy, as well as a large-scale offensive operation to liberate the occupied territories.
The exercises, which will be held in the difficult conditions of a severely rugged terrain, a mountainous terrain and a rich radio-electronic situation, presupposes the development of tactical episodes on the interaction of formations and military units, the management of troops and fire weapons, as well as the prevention of various diversionary actions by the conventional adversary.
During the exercises at various ranges, it is envisaged to conduct combat firing using the most modern types of weapons and military equipment accepted for service by the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan. -06D--
