President Ilham Aliyev asked the relevant government agencies and the Attorney General to take all necessary measures to prevent speculation in the currency market and stabilize prices of food and other goods. Unscrupulous persons in their own interests seek to cash in on the economic difficulties that it is unacceptable, and therefore very strict measures must be taken, he said, speaking on Sunday at the enlarged meeting of the Government on the results of 2015 year and the upcoming challenges. Aliyev, as before, connected the current developing with the geopolitical struggle in the region, expressing concern about the open clash of interests of the US, Turkey and Russia in the region, as well as the strengthening of Islamophobia in the West.
In general, he called the past year challenging and said that the government dealt with the problems, and the year ended with the growth of economic indicators.
