Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Ukraine
Baku/22.06.23/Turan: Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba during his working visit to the UK.
According to the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, topical issues on the agenda of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, the situation in Ukraine, post-conflict efforts in the region were discussed during the meeting.
Bayramov pointed out that over the years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, important successes have been achieved in expanding bilateral and multilateral cooperation in a number of areas, including political, economic, cultural, humanitarian, etc.
It was emphasized that Azerbaijan, which has always supported the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, will continue its humanitarian assistance due to the Ukrainian crisis.
Bayramov also informed the opposite side in detail about the current situation in the region, Azerbaijan's peaceful and creative efforts in the post-conflict period, steps taken towards normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, current challenges.
Dmitry Kuleba spoke with satisfaction about bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, stressed the role of intensive contacts between the leaders of the two countries in this direction. Azerbaijan's humanitarian assistance to Ukraine was noted with satisfaction and gratitude.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.—06B-

The Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Azerbaijan is pleased to announce the preopening of the Ukrainian Center in Baku, scheduled for 9 November 2024 at 12 pm. The Ukrainian Center, originally established to promote Ukrainian culture, language, heritage and education in Azerbaijan, has been renovated and expanded to better serve its mission.

The health condition of activist Nijat Ibrahim has sharply worsened while he remains in Baku's Detention Center No. 1, his wife Parvin Ibrahim told Turan news agency. According to her, Ibrahim called today to report severe back pain, and he can barely move. Recently, his blood pressure has also risen, and doctors have diagnosed him with hypertension.

On Sunday, November 5, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Kyrgyzstan to participate in the 11th Summit of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States. Upon his arrival at Manas 2 International Airport in Bishkek, Aliyev was greeted with a ceremonial honor guard and welcomed by Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister and Chief of Staff, Akylbek Japarov, along with other officials.
