Meeting of National Council in Police?
On Friday, October 14, many active opposition members from the National Council of Democratic Forces are invited to the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Among them are Eldaniz Guliyev, Gezal Bayramli, Oktay Gulaliyev, Nuraddin Mammadli, as well as the leader of the party Musavat Arif Hajili.
None of them knows the reason for the call. They were told they were invited to discuss "an important issue that cannot be discussed on the phone."
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told Turan they cannot say anything on the matter.
Note that these calls have become a sad tradition, and each time the opposition is put pressure to refrain from criticism of the authorities or not to carry out this or that event. The Ministry of Interior avoids comments whether such police actions comply with the law. -03B-
