Baku/10/27.23/Turan: Prime Ministers Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia and Ali Asadov of Azerbaijan engaged in a meeting today, facilitated by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili in the picturesque town of Mukhrani, near Tbilisi, as reported by the press service of the Georgian government.

Details of the high-level discussions have been closely guarded, but reports from the Georgian TV channel "Imedi" suggest that the trilateral meeting extended over several hours, indicating substantive discussions on critical regional matters.

In his remarks at the opening ceremony of the construction of the Tbilisi Azerbaijan State Drama Theater named after Heydar Aliyev, attended by Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov, Irakli Garibashvili emphasized Georgia's role as an impartial mediator and a friend to both Armenia and Azerbaijan. He expressed his country's earnest commitment to fostering peace in the region.

"Yesterday we held trilateral meetings. Georgia, as an impartial mediator, a friend of Armenia and Azerbaijan, is interested in establishing peace in the region," stated Prime Minister Garibashvili.

Garibashvili extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Ali Asadov for participating in the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum, underscoring the significance of international cooperation and dialogue in the region's development.

"We really appreciate it. We also appreciate the fact that we had important meetings together yesterday. A trilateral meeting and conversation also took place. Georgia, as an impartial, neutral, objective mediator and friend of both countries, Armenia and Azerbaijan, is interested in establishing long-term peace and stability in the region. Georgia and I, as the head of government, are ready to participate in this process," affirmed Irakli Garibashvili.

As of the time of this report, neither Azerbaijani nor Armenian media outlets have released official statements regarding the meeting.

Both Prime Ministers were in Tbilisi to partake in the international conference "Silk Road," focused on enhancing the transport infrastructure of the region, showcasing the continued importance of regional cooperation amid ongoing tensions.-02B-
