Military Parade in Baku Dedicated to 100th Anniversary of Armed Forces of Azerbaijan (VIDEO-PHOTO)
Baku / 26.06.18 / Turan: The military parade in the main square of Baku on June 26 was opened by military units, which took part in the battles in April 2016 and in the May 2018 operation in Nakhchivan.
The cadets of the country's military schools, a division of the Turkish troops, several units of special force, landing troops and marines followed, along with the special purpose divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Security Service, the Frontier Troops and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The first to go to the parade was a column of military armored vehicles of various modifications, armed with rockets, mortars and other types of weapons, as well as anti-aircraft systems for the destruction of drones, conducting reconnaissance operations, suppressing radio interference. Most of these cars are produced in Azerbaijan.
Then went armored vehicles BTR 82A, drones of various types and destinations, capable of reconnaissance from an altitude of 11 km within 45 hours.
The artillery was represented by self-propelled units MSTA, Peony, TOS-1A, Angara, Chrysanthemum, Vienna, Dana and various types of cannons.
Multiple rocket launching systems were represented by Grad, Smerch, Sakarya, and Uragan.
Armored vehicles were represented by BMP-2, BMP-3, T-72 and T-90 tanks.
Air defense systems were represented by army and strategic anti-aircraft missile systems Buk M-1, S-300, and Barak-8.
Missile systems were represented by Extra, Polonaise, and LORA.
Aircraft was represented by helicopters Bell 412, MI-24, MI-35, KA-17, MI-8 and jets SU-25 and MIG 29 that demonstrated aerobatics figures.
The solemn event culminated in the demonstration flights of Turkish aviation represented by F-5 and F-16 fighters. -02B-
