Baku/16.06.23/Turan: On June 16, the Milli Majlis adopted amendments to the law "On Road Transport" in the first reading. The amendments cover the regulation of taxi services. The proposed innovations involve the introduction of a system for fixing the speed of cars used for transportation as a taxi. It will record the movement of the vehicle, the distance traveled, working hours and rest hours of the driver. At the same time, amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses were proposed, which were also adopted in the first reading.
Thus, the responsibility for carrying out the activities of a taxi operator without proper permission is introduced. Individuals for this violation will be punished with a fine of 20 thousand manats, legal entities – 40 thousand manats.
A fine of 20 thousand manats will be imposed for not providing information about the taxi driver to the unified data system.
Fines in the amount of 1 thousand and 2 thousand manats, respectively, will be levied from individuals and legal entities for concluding an employment contract with the driver of a vehicle for passenger and cargo transportation that has not undergone special training.
