Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation to visit Azerbaijan
Baku/0 6.02.19/Turan: Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin will visit Azerbaijan on February 8.
During the visit, the Russian delegation will get acquainted with the course of reconstruction of the border checkpoint (BCP) "Yarag-Kazmalyar" at the border of the two countries, the activities of the BCP "Samur" and the construction of an automobile bridge across the Samur river.
According to the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, these projects being significant in expanding transit opportunities will contribute to expanding trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
A discussion on expanding opportunities for economic cooperation will be held on February 9 in the Hajikabul industrial quarter. A groundbreaking ceremony will be held for the automobile plant, which is being built as part of a joint project of the Azerbaijani company Azermash and the Russian Gaz-Group. -16D06

According to a report by Turan correspondent, the discussions took place behind closed doors and lasted for over an hour. No statements were made to the press following the meeting. Furthermore, conference security prevented journalists from asking questions to the meeting participants.
