I.Aliyev canceled the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers "on forest fines" (updated)
Baku / 06.02.19 / Turan: After the intervention of President Ilham Aliyev, the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers to raise fines for the unauthorized gathering of wild fruit in forests, has been canceled.
The head of state ordered the cancellation of the said decision, taking into account numerous appeals to him, the official statement says.
On January 19 the Cabinet of Ministers increased by three times the fines for illegal gathering of wild fruits in the forests. -06D-

Fines for collecting forest fruits will increase
Baku / 06.02.19 / Turan: In Azerbaijan, new fines have been established for harvesting fruits, plants and trees in forbidden forest areas.
So, the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers: "On the rules of bringing to liability for damage to forestry" has been amended.
From now on, the collection of each kilogram of fruits from wild fruit trees (apples, pears, cornels, alchi, etc.) is set at a penalty of 1 manat, per 1 kg.
For the collection from grafted fruit trees - 2 manat, per 1 kilo, rosehip - 2 manat, sea buckthorn - 3 manat, other medicinal plants - 2 manat.
For one kilo of chestnut and hazelnut - 2 manats, walnut - 2 manats, 1 kilo pistachio seeds - 1, 5 manat.
For the collection of reeds, fallen leaves, a penalty of 50 gepik per 1 cubic meter was set.
The rules were approved by the Cabinet resolution number 145 of 2004. Thus, the previous amount of fines increased three times.
