Ministry of Internal Affairs urged citizens to be vigilant in connection with threats of cybercrimes
Baku/27.10.21/Turan: The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan appealed to citizens in connection with the increased incidence of cybercrimes. The department calls on the population to be vigilant and take precautions.
In particular, it is recommended not to provide persons calling (even if it is a bank employee) to mobile and landline numbers with information about bank cards, including the name, surname of the card holder, expiration date, CVV number and 3D secure confirmation code.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs also advises not to give information about their bank card to persons who declare that they are interested in buying the goods being sold, but they will pay online.
It is recommended not to provide bank card details to persons calling from foreign virtual numbers, not to give a deposit to apartments / cars / clothes / furniture, etc. selling through websites, if the goods are offered significantly below their cost.
Also, citizens are not advised to transfer funds to the accounts of hackers, psychics, persons issuing money at interest, etc., offering their services in social networks.
It is recommended not to make purchases from unfamiliar pages in social networks that do not inspire confidence. — 05D06-
