Monument to Monte Melkonyan dismantled in Karabakh
Baku/26.09.23/Turan: Today in the city of Khojavend (Martuni) a monument to the famous Armenian terrorist Monte Melkonyan was dismantled. This was done by the Armenians themselves, realizing that the Azerbaijanis would destroy it. Now the task of the Azerbaijani military is to prevent the removal of the monument to Armenia.
It should be recalled that Melkonyan was killed by soldiers of the 708th Brigade of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces on June 12, 1993 in the village of Marzili in the Agdam region. Melkonyan was the commander of one of the directions of the Karabakh army and commanded the operations for the occupation of the Agdam and Kalbajar regions of Azerbaijan. He has the blood of hundreds of peaceful Azerbaijanis and soldiers on his hands.
Monte Melkonyan, a US citizen, was the second person in the ASALA terrorist organization and arrived in Karabakh in 1990 under the name Avo. ---0---
