Moscow Urges Ankara to Take "Balanced Approach" in Armenian-Azerbaijani Conflict
Moscow / 24.07.20 / Turan: On July 23, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
As reported by the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the parties exchanged views on the recent escalation of violence between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“The Russian side emphasized the need to display balanced approaches and exert a deterrent effect on the parties involved in the conflict in order to prevent further aggravation of the situation, ensure security on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, and intensify efforts for the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement. It was agreed to develop cooperation between Moscow and Ankara in the interests of stabilization in the region,” the message says.
In turn, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said the parties "discussed the provocations of the Armenian Armed Forces against Azerbaijan, and also exchanged views on the situation in Libya." -02D-

Armenia is not against the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group, but does not consider it appropriate to discuss this issue now. The shutdown was caused by a lightning strike, which triggered the plant's safety systems to switch the station to a safe shutdown mode. Currently, the plant's staff is working on restarting the facility.
