National Council condemns the government for putting pressure on the PPFA
The National Council of Democratic Forces issued a statement condemning the government for the mass arrests of PPFA activists, and explosion in the party office this morning.
"In recent days, the authorities have launched persecution campaign against youth activists of the party for scaring them away from political activity. In recent days about 10 activists have been charged on concocted charges. The reason for this is the fear of the Aliyev regime before the events in Ukraine and the fear of a repeat of such events in Azerbaijan," the statement reads. With regard to undermine the office of PPFA, the National Council called an explosion a provocation to deprive the party of its premises.
The National Council called on the authorities to stop the repression against PPFA, release the detainees, and to remember the fate of the corrupt regime in Ukraine. -05D-
