On February 20-23 the Ministry of Youth and Sports in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program will hold in Baku the National Model UN Conference (MUN)
(Model United Nations.) The event will be attended by over 350 young diplomats from more than 20 universities, academies and other institutions. The opening ceremony will take place on February 20 at 10:00 am at the Fairmont Hotel. The event will be attended by high-ranking government officials, representatives of the diplomatic corps.
The Conference MUN is an annual event organized by various educational institutions worldwide. They envisage restoration of the United Nations’ function, including its structure, committees, and the key role that allows students to familiarize themselves with the procedures and daily international organizations. -06D-

From 19 to 26 July, 24 automatic rifles, 1 machine gun, 9 rifles, 28 grenades, 441 shells, 3118 cartridges of different calibre and other ammunition were found in Khankendi, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported. During the mentioned period, the police found 1 machine gun, 50 grenades, 7 fuses, 3 shells and 320 cartridges of different calibre in Shusha.

President Ilham Aliyev has approved by decree the Azerbaijan-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in military intelligence defense sector. The document was signed in Baku on 7 June 2024.
