NATO considers Azerbaijan to be its reliable partner-Metin Tokel
Baku/22.06.21/Turan: Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov had a meeting today with the head of the Izmir-based Headquarters of the NATO Ground Forces Command, Metin Tokel.
Hasanov told about the "successful development of relations between Azerbaijan and the NATO"; activities of the national army within the framework of various programs and the contribution of Azerbaijani servicemen to the "Resolute Support" mission in Afghanistan.
According to him, the main goal of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the NATO in various fields is to eliminate instability, conflicts and threats in the Euro-Atlantic expanse, and create a unified security system on a global scale.
In turn, Tokel noted that the alliance considers Azerbaijan to be its reliable partner. He highly appreciated Azerbaijan's participation in the struggle against terrorism and its significant contribution to providing cargo transportation for peacekeeping operations, including the high professionalism of Azerbaijani peacekeepers in Afghanistan.
