New British Ambassador presents copies of credentials to Azerbaijani Foreign Minister
Baku/03.09.19/Turan: Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov today received the newly appointed British Ambassador to Baku, James Lyle Sharp.
The British diplomat handed the Minister copies of credentials.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on the current state of bilateral relations, and expressed satisfaction with the achievements in energy, political, and economic cooperation.
The Karabakh settlement, which aroused mutual interest in international and regional issues, was also touched. - 06D-

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times. According to relatives, the police conducted a search of her apartment.
