New fights at Azeri-Armenian border, and trilateral consultations have resumed in Moscow
Baku/02.06.21/Turan: On the morning of June 2, another incident between Armenian and Azerbaijani servicemen took place in the Gegharkunik region of Armenia. As a result, two Armenian military servicemen were injured. This was reported by the Armenian media with reference to the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
“No weapons were used, the incident was quickly settled by the efforts of the higher command,” the Armenian Defense Ministry said.
The fact that the conflict took place in Gegharkunik means that the conflict took place on the border with Kalbajar region of Azerbaijan.
At the same time, representatives of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia on Wednesday in Moscow discussed ways to ease tensions at the certain areas of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, Russian media reports citing an informed source.
"On June 2, trilateral consultations of representatives of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia were held in Moscow, at which they discussed ways to de-escalate the situation in certain border regions of Armenia and Azerbaijan," said the source and noted that the parties "agreed to continue working contacts."
Recall that just the day before, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan assured that Armenia had abandoned the trilateral negotiations, protesting against the "aggression" of Azerbaijan. -02D-
