The new speaker is the British Roger Gale, the representative of the Secretariat of the Monitoring Committee informed Turan agency about this. It is noteworthy that Roger Gale is the head of the Monitoring Committee. The name of Florin Preda figured in the report on corruption and lobbyism of PACE members, adopted at the spring session of the PACE. Arrested economist Fazil Gasimov has reportedly faced pressure after protesting the interruption of a phone call with his family on November 16.
