Who entrapped Gultekin Hajibeyli?
Baku / 28.06.18 / Turan: Ex-MP of Azerbaijan's parliament Gultekin Hajibayli believes that she was unfairly included in the sanctions list of persons who are forbidden to enter the PACE.
Previously the Independent Investigative Body of the PACE published a list of 29 former and current members of the PACE, who violated ethical standards and refused to give explanations about their actions. Among them was the former deputy Hajibeyli.
In her comment on the Facebook page, she wrote that she did not receive any requests from the PACE investigation commission. Therefore, the allegations of her refusal to cooperate are unreasonable.
"I have no doubt that a provocation has been committed against me. For since 2010 I have not been a member of the parliament of Azerbaijan and a PACE member. Therefore, I could not be related to the processes of 2012.
It's ridiculous to accuse me of involvement in corruption in the Council of Europe, when I myself criticized the Azerbaijani authorities and exposed the regime's corruption policy," Hajibayli wrote.
According to her, the reason for including her on the sanctions list was the sabotage of the current members of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE. It turned out that the letter from the Committee on Rules of Procedure, Immunities and Institutional Issues was sent not directly to Hajibeyli, but through the members of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE.
"Of course, Samed Seyidov (the head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the PACE) recommended not to send me a letterJ )," Hajibayli wrote. Samad Seyidov has not yet responded to these charges. -06D-
